The venue
This is a 3-story, Brooklyn Brownstone with classic, original wood moldings and a working slate fireplace. Built in the 1870s, the home is original with preserved character in Northern Bed-Stuy. The interior design is a mix of neutral mid-century modern furniture and elegant Brownstone details, creating a sophisticated backdrop for production. Flr 1 - Garden floor, 8-foot ceilings, 4 ft windows at the front and back with original trim and pocket shutters featuring subtle contrast wainscoting in the vintage-modern style kitchen, an antique hutch and cafe curtains . In the front is a living room/bedroom area with a queen sized bed, Vitsoe shelving and pocket shutters. Access to both front patio and back patio areas. Flr 2 - Parlor floor, 10-foot ceilings, 8 ft windows at the front and back, a working stone fireplace and an abundance of preserved original details especially around the windows and entry way. The living room in the front is set up with a record lounge while the antique style bedroom in the back features a vintage brass bed and beaux arts desk. A utility bathroom with washer and dryer and full bath is at the back. Flr 3 - Top Floor, 9-foot ceilings, 5ft windows at the front and back, Northern and Southern exposures and an abundance of original details. It includes a modernized white kitchen with butcher block counters, vintage wood kitchen table and built-in shelving. Modern spa tub bathroom with wainscoting and retro fixtures. Primary modern king-sized bedroom with ensuite nursery, walk-in closet and original pocket shutters. The home includes a stair hall with glass double door entry, original radiators and lots of natural southern and northern light. The house is being worked on constantly so there is a bit of a rustic effect, especially on the main stairs as we renovate it. Guest may cancel a booking up to 7 days before event start and will be full refunded. Cancellations made later will be refunded 50% of the booking, up to 24 hours before the event start. Cancellations made later will not be refunded.
