Booking a meeting room in New York

Meeting space is the most functional thing we list and the easiest to get wrong, because the failure modes are invisible until the day: wifi that cannot carry a video call for twelve people, a screen with the wrong cable, no natural light in a six-hour workshop, or a "private" room with a glass wall onto a busy floor. What you are actually booking is working infrastructure and genuine privacy.

Our meeting inventory is concentrated in the Garment District and Midtown East, which is also where it is cheapest — Garment District rooms start around $35 an hour, the lowest rates in Manhattan. The range covers small private offices and conference rooms through hotel meeting rooms with catering service to larger training and workshop spaces.

Check three things before booking: the actual capacity in the layout you need (a room that seats sixteen at a boardroom table holds thirty in theatre style and eight in a workshop with breakout tables), what display and conferencing hardware is installed versus rented, and whether catering can be brought in or must come from the building. Those three answers determine almost the entire cost.
