Booking a warehouse in New York

A warehouse is what you book when the constraint is space, or when the event requires building rather than decorating. Concrete floors that take weight, ceiling heights that clear a truss, roll-up doors and loading docks, three-phase power, and — crucially — a landlord and neighbours who are untroubled by noise, construction and a crew arriving at six in the morning.

Our warehouse inventory is almost entirely Brooklyn, concentrated in Greenpoint and Gowanus, which is where the industrial building stock survived. These are the largest rooms we list by a wide margin: Gowanus listings average close to nineteen thousand square feet and reach two thousand guests. Per square foot, nothing in Manhattan is close.

Understand what you are taking on. A warehouse is usually unheated or unevenly heated, has minimal fixed restrooms for its capacity, and provides no furniture, no bar and no kitchen. Budget for the build as a real line item — power distribution, heating, restrooms, flooring, sound. It is the right call for festivals, markets, large productions and big parties, and the wrong call for anything under a hundred people.
